By using LearnMagic you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site. If you are under 18, read these terms together with a parent or guardian.

LearnMagic is a free educational website. There are no accounts, no subscriptions, and no payments. We publish written magic lessons and supporting guides, and we may add, change, or remove lessons at any time. We do our best to keep the site available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access.

You are welcome to:

• read, learn, and practise every lesson on this site, free of charge;
• perform these tricks anywhere — for friends, at school, at events, and in paid performances. Performing a trick you learned here needs no permission or credit from us;
• teach a trick to a friend in your own words, or share a link to a lesson.

Please do not:

• copy, republish, or redistribute our lesson text, scripts, illustrations, or site design — in whole or in substantial part — on another website, in a book, in a video script, or in any paid product;
• use automated tools to scrape the site in bulk, or use our content to train a machine-learning model, without our written permission;
• present our written material as your own work.

If you would like to use our material beyond what is allowed here, just ask at hello@learnmagic.example.com. We say yes more often than you would expect.

The magic effects we teach are classics of the craft that have been performed and passed along for generations — nobody owns the idea of making a coin vanish, and we make no claim to those methods. What we do own is the way we explain them here: our lesson text, teaching structure, scripts, illustrations, and the site itself, all of which are protected by copyright.

If you believe something on this site infringes your rights, contact us with the details and we will investigate promptly.

When you send us a trick suggestion, correction, or other feedback, you allow us to use it to improve the site without owing you payment or credit. Please only send us material you are free to share. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your message.

Magic is a physical craft, and you perform it in the real world. Every lesson lists an age recommendation, a safety level, and — where relevant — a note about adult supervision. Please follow them, and read our Safety & Responsible Magic guidance before you start.

You are responsible for deciding whether a trick is appropriate for you, your space, and your audience, and for supervising any child in your care. Take particular care with anything involving scissors, small objects that a young child could swallow, rope near anyone’s neck, or touching another person. Stop immediately if anyone is uncomfortable.

Magic is entertainment that both people consent to: your audience knows they are being fooled, and enjoys it. Do not use anything you learn here to convince people you have genuine psychic, supernatural, or healing powers, to obtain money or property by deception, or to cheat at gambling. Doing so is a serious misuse of the craft — and, in most places, against the law.

The site and its lessons are provided “as is”. We write carefully and test what we publish, but we cannot promise that a lesson is error-free, that it will work first time, or that it will produce any particular reaction from your audience. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LearnMagic and the people who run it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, or from performing or practising anything you learned here. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

We sometimes link to outside resources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

We may update these terms as the site grows. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which LearnMagic is operated, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
